The General Department of Labor and Welfare Services recently presented the findings from a nationwide survey that covered 70,989 households. The survey, which was part of an ongoing effort to improve the delivery of social services, highlighted that 86,000 citizens are currently receiving food vouchers.

As part of efforts to improve efficiency and accessibility, the department announced plans to fully digitize the system managing personal files, applications, and complaints of those receiving food vouchers. This move is expected to streamline the process and make it easier for individuals to access the services they need.

The transition to a digital platform is part of a broader goal to modernize public services, ensuring more effective delivery and greater transparency. By moving to a digital system, the government aims to improve service efficiency and reduce administrative barriers for beneficiaries.

With the survey findings in hand, the General Department of Labor and Welfare Services is now working on finalizing the digital system and expects the overhaul to be implemented soon.
