A fire broke out at the “Shine Murun” Shopping Center located in Elst bag in Murun soum of Khuvsgul Province on April 14. Upon receiving the emergency call, firefighters and rescue personnel from the Khuvsgul Provincial Emergency Management Agency, Fire and Rescue Unit No. 27, and the Search and Rescue Division were immediately dispatched to the scene. Thanks to their coordinated efforts, the spread of the fire was contained by 12:35 a.m., and the blaze was fully extinguished by 2:21 a.m.

In addition to emergency response teams, officers from the local police department, staff from “Khuvsgul Us” Water and Sewage Authority, and personnel from the Department of Environment provided critical support during the firefighting operations.

Following the fire case, the Provincial Emergency Commission convened an urgent meeting to assess the situation. A rapid response task force was established to investigate the cause of the fire, assess the extent of the damages, and develop an action plan to mitigate the aftermath. The commission has already begun implementing the necessary measures to support recovery and rehabilitation efforts.

Authorities have not yet released information regarding the extent of the damage or whether there were any casualties. An official statement is expected once the investigation concludes.
