Ambassador Giovanni Gaspari of the Holy See presented his Letter of Credence to the Mongolian President U.Khurelsukh. Following the presentation, the president and the ambassador discussed ways to expand and strengthen the long-standing relationship between Mongolia and the Holy See, focusing on areas of mutual interest. The conversation also included discussions on enhancing collaboration through the United Nations and other international organizations.
In a separate meeting, Kuwaiti Ambassador Mutlaq Al-Thuwaimer also presented his credentials to President U.Khurelsukh. During the meeting, the president highlighted the active development of relations between Mongolia and Kuwait, emphasizing the significant role played by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, and health. He noted that the Fund's efforts were recognized with the “Friendship” medal in 2024 and expressed confidence in continued cooperation and investment from the Kuwaiti Government.
Ambassador Al-Thuwaimer conveyed greetings from His Highness the Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and wished the Mongolian people a happy Lunar New Year. He also reiterated Kuwait’s commitment to further strengthening relations, including supporting Mongolian meat exports. This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, with Kuwait being the first Arab nation to open an embassy in Mongolia.
