As part of his official state visit to Turkey, President of Mongolia, U.Khurelsukh, attended a spectacular cultural event titled “The Beautiful Land of Mongolia” in Istanbul. The performance was organized to showcase the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Mongolia to the people of Turkey.

The event featured a mesmerizing performance by a morin khuur (horse fiddle) orchestra, blending national and classical works from both Mongolian and global repertoires. The concert celebrated the artistic and cultural achievements of the nomadic peoples of the Mongolian steppes, highlighting their unique heritage and artistic legacy to audiences in Eurasia.

During his visit, President Khurelsukh met with Turkey’s Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Serdar Cam, to discuss expanding cultural relations between the two nations. They explored opportunities for future collaborations, including the possibility of staging the Mongolian play “Mongol Khaan” in Turkey, and outlined several avenues for strengthening cultural ties moving forward.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth expressed its gratitude towards the Mongolian diaspora in Turkey, as well as the artists who contributed to the success of the “The Beautiful Land of Mongolia” performance. The ministry extended its appreciation for their role in promoting Mongolian cultural heritage and fostering stronger, amicable relations between the two nations.

The concert in Istanbul was a powerful reminder of the cultural diplomacy at work, further solidifying the longstanding friendship between Mongolia and Turkey.
