Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, for a courtesy call. The discussions covered a broad spectrum of topics aimed at expanding and strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the UAE.
The prime minister shared insights into Mongolia’s 2024-2028 Action Program, which highlights the key goals and strategic priorities of the government. Both leaders explored concrete steps to enhance trade and economic partnerships, emphasizing the importance of mutually beneficial projects.
They expressed a shared commitment to advancing cooperation in various sectors, including mining, mineral resources, renewable energy, urban and digital development, agriculture, and tourism. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed his strong support for these collaborative efforts and voiced confidence that they would elevate Mongolia-UAE relations to new heights.
In addition, the leaders discussed joint initiatives to prepare for Mongolia’s role as host of the 17th Session of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP 17) in 2026, agreeing to exchange expertise and best practices to ensure a successful event.
