The Mongolian national football team left for Indonesia on November 28 to participate in the 2017 Aceh World Solidarity Tsunami Cup to be held from December 2 to 6 in Banda Aceh, Indonesia.
The tournament was organized as a show of solidarity for the areas affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, and to bring major entertainment events back to the city.
Teams from Indonesia, Brunei, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia will compete in the tournament.
Mongolia’s first match will take place on December 2 against Kyrgyzstan.
Prior going to Tsunami Cup, the Mongolian team went to Myanmar for a friendly match on November 26. Mongolia defeated the U23 team of Myanmar 2 – 1.
