Mongolia’s biggest fashion festival, Goyol, is set to take place on November 29 at the Central Cultural Palace. The Mongolian Designers’ Association is organizing the 30th Goyol Festival. As is tradition, designers and fashion houses participating in the festival will introduce their designs later this month. The top model of Mongolia, fashion trend, fashion agency, make-up artist, hairdresser, and designer will be awarded at the festival and given rights to represent Mongolia in international festivals. Goyol 2017 didn’t award the top model of Mongolia prize for the first time. Secretary- general of the Mongolian Designers’ Association Kh.Baigalmaa said that the association didn’t select the top model at the 29th Goyol because no one met the criteria. Goyol 2018’s top model of Mongolia will be awarded 10 million MNT in cash prize, the organizers informed. More than 170 models challenged themselves in the first stage of Goyol 2018, but only 120 were shortlisted in the final. The final round will take place on November 23, and 80 to 90 models will have a chance to walk the runway on November 29. Goyol Fashion Festival has been organized since 1988.
