Mongolian athletes compete in The World  Games 2017

The farewell ceremony for the Mongolian team leaving for The World Games, also known as Non-Olympic Sports Games, was organized at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports on July 17. The World Games is a multi-sport event organized every four years by the International World Games Association under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee. The 10th edition of The World Games will be held in Wroclaw, Poland, from July 20 to 30. Mongolia will be represented by 24 athletes at the tournament. Mongolian athletes will compete in the aerobic gymnastics, sumo and jiu-jitsu tournaments. More than 3,000 athletes from 111 countries will take part in The World Games. The official sports of The World Games 2017 include air sports, archery, beach handball, billiards, boules sport, bowling, canoeing, dance sport, fistball, floorball, flying disc, gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, karate, korfball, lacrosse, life saving, Muay Thai, orienteering, powerlifting, roller sports, sport climbing, squash, sumo, tug of war, underwater sports, water ski, and wakeboarding. The farewell ceremony was attended by the president of the Mongolian Gymnastics Federation B.Lkhagvajav, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports G.Chuluunbaatar, Head of the Physical Culture and Sports Policy Department of the Ministry S.Chinbat, and Head of the Physical Culture and Sports Authority Ts.Sharavjamts. Minister G.Chuluunbaatar told athletes to raise the state flag of Mongolia in Poland as he handed flight tickets. Sumo athlete D.Natsagdorj was appointed flag bearer of Mongolia for The World Games.
