The “National Youth Conference 2024: Go for Synergy” was organized by TsoilogsoZ (Youth Community) on November 17 for the fourth time, aiming to empower Mongolia’s youth through collaboration and knowledge-sharing. Initially, the organizers said that the team faced challenges, especially during the pandemic when no events were held in Mongolia. However, their first youth conference surpassed expectations, marking a significant milestone.
The event’s primary goal was to assess Mongolia’s youth on the global stage and foster collaboration beyond government structures. During the conference, youth participants shared insights on key topics, including economic development, youth empowerment, and regional issues. For instance, P.Murun, the International Master of Motorsport, National Champion of Motocross, and Ulaanbaatar City Champion, shared his personal story and discussed his collective goals, desires, and aspirations. Sh.Amartuvshin, the founder of the AFA Academy, spoke about the impact and opportunities that the concept of “Synergy” has on achieving both personal and collective success, drawing from his own experiences. Additionally, Agnuush, the founder of the Mongolian Social Enterprise Association, shared her experience of how the Social Enterprise model has had a real impact on society. She also discussed how Social Enterprises are shaping the future and accelerating sustainable development, highlighting the opportunities for everyone to contribute to societal change.
Moreover, the conference also featured workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities to encourage engagement across different sectors. One of the most notable aspects was the inclusion of sign language interpretation to ensure accessibility for all.
Over the years, this conference has evolved into a cultural norm, attracting participants from both urban and rural areas. Despite some challenges in rural regions, where event concepts are not widely understood, the conference has grown in popularity, becoming a valuable platform for youth across provinces and soums.
Private companies and international organizations initially funded the event. However, the focus has always been on its purpose and long-term impact rather than financial gain. The conference fosters a spirit of cooperation and aims to inspire change by targeting issues like regional development and youth involvement in global discussions.
The event’s success is seen not only in the immediate outcomes but also in its lasting impact, encouraging young people to continue advocating for positive change and fostering a sense of unity and purpose. The conference now stands as a key tradition, providing a meaningful space for youth to grow and connect.
