E.Sodnompiljee becomes first paralympic athlete to win all Olympic medals

At the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games, the powerlifting competition saw a remarkable performance from E.Sodnompiljee, a distinguished athlete renowned for his achievements on the international stage. Competing in the 107 kg weight category, E.Sodnompiljee, a Paralympic champion, world champion, and Hero of Labor of Mongolia, secured the silver medal. By winning the silver medal, he has now won gold, silver, and bronze medals from the Olympic Games, making him the first paralympic athlete to ever do that in Mongolia.

During the competition, E.Sodnompiljee’s initial lift of 243 kg was followed by a second successful lift of 248 kg. E.Sodnompiljee previously earned a bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and gold at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games. With his silver medal win at Paris 2024, he has now joined the ranks of Paralympic athletes who have achieved a complete set of medals, reflecting his extraordinary skill and perseverance.
