The meteorological and emergency organizations continue to warn of the high dryness and high risk of fire in the central and eastern regions of our country. In particular, it was warned that there is a high risk of fire in the forested areas of Dornod, Khentii, and Sukhbaatar provinces where dry fields prevail, as well as Bulgan, Darkhan-Uul, Orkhon and Selenge provinces. Last Friday, there were three forest and wildfires in the Dornod Province, according to the local emergency organization. It was preliminarily determined that 29,240 hectares of land were affected by the fires that occurred in Dashbalbar, Matad, and Khalkhgol soums of the province.

It is said that in the coming days, dryness is increasing due to the warmer weather of the entire region. According to the risk assessment of May 4, the Disaster Prevention Department of National Emergency Management Agency reported that the entire area of ​​Altanbulag, Khuder, and Sukhbaatar soums, and Bugant village of Selenge Province is at a dangerous level of fire, and others are at an extremely dangerous level.
