The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) reported that it has provided firewood to 4,222 herder families living in 15 provinces affected by zud, and food aid to 2,010 families. Hay was also delivered to 62,722 households and animal fodder to 69,866 households. It is said that 675 officers of the state military and law enforcement agencies with 197 vehicles worked in 74 soums of 17 provinces to support the special commissions of provinces and soums. So far, nearly 93,150 kilometers of roads have been opened in areas where roads and passes were closed due to heavy snowfall. According to the NEMA, 318 resident doctors were assigned to soums in order to provide medical care and services to people without delay.

Moreover, in connection with the worsening of the spring situation, the state has moved to a higher disaster prevention state. It was ordered to support the activities organized by the provincial emergency commissions, such as the prompt and uninterrupted delivery of health and other government services to herders, the opening of closed roads, and the delivery of fodder. Therefore, the “Emergency Group III” was established by the Resolution No. 62 of the Government of Mongolia dated February 14, “Measures to take due to the difficulty of winter and spring condition”, and the team got to know the conditions of winter and spring in seven soums of Khuvsgul Province, such as Burentogtokh, Galt, Jargalant, Shine-Ider, Tsagaan-Uul, and Tsetserleg soums. On this occasion, 150 tons of fodder free of charge, 555 million MNT financial support, and 50 million MNT for four soums from the public work budget of the fund were given to the herders in areas experiencing severe winter and spring. 

Furthermore, 225 tons of wheat, 110 tons of flour, 55 tons of first grade flour, 50 food packages, and 50 health packages were distributed to 19 soums, and five vehicles were handed over to the Office of the Governor of five soums where the situations are difficult.
