M.Ankhtsetseg, an athlete of the Mongolian United Powerlifting Federation, claimed a bronze medal from the World Championships on December 3. She is a two-time champion of Asia, champion of Student World Championships and received a bronze medal in the women’s 75 kg category from the World Weightlifting Championships in Anaheim, USA. This was the first time Mongolia won a medal from the World Championships in weightlifting. For this reason, the Mongolian United Powerlifting Federation made a decision to award the title of State Merited Athlete to M.Ankhtsetseg and her coach Ts.Khosbayar during its final meeting last week. At the meeting, the national powerlifting team of Mongolia announced that they have intensified their training for upcoming tournaments, especially the World Championships and the Asian Sports Festival.
