An Ice Town with ice skating rinks was built within the Selbe River Basin (from Beijing Street to the west side of Sky Shopping Mall). There are two ice skating rinks, one for children (30x19 m) and for adults (70x24 m). The Ice Town also has a public room (offers changing rooms and hot drinks), 20 ice sculptures which won international contests (Winter Olympic themed), lighting, power supply, and decoration lights. The main purpose of setting up the Ice Town is to let children and young people enjoy their free time exploring the ice sculptures created by famous artists and skating on the ice rink. Incidentally, children, the elderly and people who have chronic heart and lung diseases have been advised to reduce the time staying outdoor and stay away from the sources of air pollution such as roads and urban areas during the peak pollution hours.
