

Songinokhairkhan District aims to finish the construction of a 3.6 kilometer road from the Tolgoit bus terminal to Orbit intersection by the end of summer, as announced by District Mayor J.Sandagsuren.
Mayor J.Sandagsuren shared plans to tackle traffic and reduce the workload of educational facilities over the next two years.

“We’re working to complete the construction of a 3.6 kilometer road from Tolgoit bus terminal to Orbit intersection this summer. Moreover, the construction of a road to connect Uildverchnii Evlel Street with Moscow Town will start this year. In the next two years, more roads will be built to reduce congestion in the western part of Ulaanbaatar. We will take measures to reduce the workload of schools and kindergartens,” Mayor J.Sandagsuren noted.
In the past eight months, the Songinokhairkhan District Mayor’s Office has made strides to increase and expand kindergartens and schools, install street lamps and surveillance cameras, andto improve landscaping in the district. It also organized the “Listen to Citizens” campaign for three months, to create better living conditions for residents. The district proposed that the Ulaanbaatar Environment Department cancel the licenses of 13 enterprises that failed to conduct rehabilitation activities.
A survey was conducted to divide nine khoroos with populations of more than 10,000 residents to balance out the workload of khoroo infrastructure and enhance the accessibility of state services, according to Mayor J.Sandagsuren.
This year, Songinokhairkhan District plans to set up 100 surveillance cameras and 10 street lamps in the district, funded by a concessional loan from Austria; connect nearly 1,300 households to the central electricity network; expand School No.104; and rebuild schools khoroos 6, 25, 26, and 32 with a grant from China.
