Over 6,710 crime and offense-related calls received during Tsagaan Sar

During the Tsagaan Sar holiday, specifically from February 28 to March 4, the police registered 6,713 calls related to crimes and offenses. Among these incidents, over 150 were related to individuals driving vehicles while under the influence of alcohol or without a valid driver’s license. These actions, marked by careless and irresponsible behavior, have unfortunately led to property damage, injuries, and even fatalities.

One particularly tragic accident occurred in the Dundgovi Province, where an individual, while intoxicated, reportedly laid another person in the trunk of a car while recording a video. During the drive, the person was thrown from the vehicle, resulting in a fatal injury. Investigations into this case are currently ongoing.

These incidents highlight the risks associated with reckless behavior during the festive period and underscore the importance of responsible conduct to prevent harm to others. The authorities continue to urge citizens to prioritize safety and caution, especially when engaging in activities that involve public welfare and road safety.
