Moon Dance, a Mongolian ballroom dance team, placed fifth in the World Dance Sport Federation’s World Latin Championship, held in Bremen, Germany on December 10. Seventeen teams from 10 countries competed in the championship. In the first round, Moon Dance was selected as one of the top 12 teams. In the semi-final, the team ranked sixth. In the finals, the Mongolian dance team competed against Russia, Germany, and Poland, and came in fifth place. Ballroom dance experts of Mongolia believe that the team’s success at the World Championship is the greatest achievement of a Mongolian dance team at an international competition to date. Two dance teams, Star Dance and Moon Dance, represented Mongolia at the event. Star Dance came in eighth place. A dance team from Germany won the gold medal of the championship.
