Flu vaccines now available

The National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) started providing flu vaccination for infants and adults. The NCCD is administering trivalent vaccines, manufactured in France, for use in the 2016 to 2017 influenza season, as recommended by the World Health Organization. The trivalent vaccines contain A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)pdm09-like, A/Switzerland/9715293/2013 (H3N2)-like and B/Phuket/3073/2013-like viruses. Doctors advised children who went routine vaccination to not receive vaccination this time around. Mongolia has been carrying out a voluntary influenza immunization campaign since 2003. The vaccination costs 15,000 MNT, but more than 230,000 children of 83 kindergartens will be vaccinated for free, according to the NCCD.
