Ulaanbaatar to host Children of Asia Sports Games in 2020

Ulaanbaatar is preparing to host the 7th Children of Asia International Sports Games (CAISG) in 2020. The tournament is expected to cost six billion MNT in total. Sixty percent of the event cost will be financed by the state, and sponsors and international organiza-tions will cover the remaining forty percent. Over 3,000 athletes, 500 coaches, 90 referees and 120 officials from 45 to 50 countries are expected to participate in CAISG. Mongolia won the right to host the 7th CAISG at a meeting of the CAISG International Committee on July 6. During the meeting, former Minister of Health and Sports S.Lambaa said, “Our country places great importance on the Children of Asia International Sports Games. The plan to host the next Children of Asia Games in Ulaanbaatar was approved by the Government of Mongolia. We can build new sports venues and update our infrastructure before CAISG 2020.”
