The Mongolian national football team, Blue Wolves, is competing in the 2016 AFC Solidarity Cup international football tournament, which is taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 2 to 15.
The Mongolian team is competing in Group B with Sri Lanka, Macau and Laos. The second match of Blue Wolves was against Sri Lanka on November 6, and Mongolia won 2:0.
Blue Wolves forward N.Naranbold scored both of Mongolia’s goals. After the match, N.Naranbold said, “We prepared well for the tournament. The national league tournament of Mongolia took place recently. All the players of Blue Wolves are new and are of the same ages. We trained in Beijing before arriving here. We prepared well.”
Blue Wolves lost their first match against Macau on November 3.
Mongolia will next face Laos tonight.
Group A includes Nepal, Brunei, and Timor-Leste. Brunei is leading Group A and Macau is currently leading Group B.
