D.Unurzul brings silver from World Cadets Championships 2016

The top 18 junior chess players of Mongolia competed in the World Cadets U8, U10, U12 Championships 2016, which was held in Batumi, Georgia from October 18 to 31. Chess player D.Unurzul won a silver medal in the girls’ U8 category with nine wins. She competed against 85 players from other countries. D.Unurzul previously won a bronze medal at the World Junior Chess Championship and a silver medal from the Asian Championship. She is the younger sister of world champion D.Munkhzul. A total of 722 chess player from 66 countries competed in the tournament. The USA ranked first in the medal tally, and Russia and Turkmenistan placed second and third.
