On the occasion of Chinggis Khaan’s birthday and the National Pride day, to be marked on October 31, the highest state prize of Mongolia, the Order of Chinggis Khaan, is awarded to an individual who is deemed to have contributed outstandingly to the nation. This year’s award will go to State Honored Artist G.Ariunbaatar. On October 21, Chief of Staff of the President’s Office Ts.Bayarsaikhan announced the winner of the Order of Chinggis Khaan at the Citizen’s Chamber under the President of Mongolia. Chief of Staff Ts.Bayarsaikhan noted, “Every year, the highest state prize of Mongolia, the Order of Chinggis Khaan, is awarded to the most distinguished figure of Mongolia and the winner is named 10 days before the award ceremony. We have studied and selected the winner from the many outstanding figures of Mongolia in political, social, cultural, science and other sectors. I am here to announce that President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj has decided to present the Order of Chinggis Khaan to the Grand Prix winner of the 15th International Tchaikovsky Competition G.Ariunbaatar.” The award ceremony for the Order of Chinggis Khaan will be held at the State Palace on October 31.
