Mongolian cyclist B.Tegshbayar, who won a gold medal in the Scratch Race of the International Cycling Union’s (UCI) Junior Track Cycling World Championships, returned to Mongolia on August 4.
Secretary-general of the Mongolian Cycling Federation Z.Naran, cycling coach of Aldar Sports Committee T.Tuguldur, B.Tegshbayar’s family, friends and fellow athletes welcomed him at Chinggis Khaan International Airport.
On August 5, president of the Mongolian Cycling Federation and Member of Parliament J.Batzandan received International Sports Master B.Tegshbayar.
B.Tegshbayar has been training at the UCI World Cycling Center in Switzerland since April and competed in the Junior Track Cycling World Championships, held in Aigle, Switzerland, from July 20 to 24.
This was the first time that a Mongolian cyclist took part in the event and claimed the rainbow jersey, a distinctive jersey worn by the reigning world champion in bicycle racing since 1927.
