Kindergarten teachers might work from home

Member of Parliament Ts.Munkhtuya has submitted a proposal to the Minister of Education to grant kindergarten teachers and staff a seven to 10 day paid leave in January. The minister previously mentioned that a study would be conducted on student attendance in kindergartens before a decision is made. In response, the minister assigned the Head of the General Department of Education, T.Nyam-Ochir to explore the possibility of teachers working remotely or conducting lessons online.

The government is working with regional and municipal education offices to assess whether it is feasible for teachers and assistants in state kindergartens to work from home or remotely between December 23 and January 25. This study aims to determine if such an arrangement can be implemented at each kindergarten. The remote work option is expected to last for up to five days, with attention being given to ensuring that both lead and assistant teachers do not work remotely at the same time.

It is also worth noting that during the winter break for students, attendance at kindergartens tends to decrease, especially in urban areas. However, research shows that over 70 percent of children attending kindergartens continue to attend regularly.
