On the sixth day of the 2024 JJIF Jiu-Jitsu World Championships held in Greece, Mongolia’s athletes demonstrated exceptional skill and determination in the adult no-gi division. Competing in the women’s 57 kg category, Garuda BJJ & MMA Academy athlete G.Mongoljin secured a silver medal, while Jump Academy’s E.Shurentsetseg earned a bronze medal. In the under-21 category, Ralph Gracie Mongolia’s B.Egiimaa triumphed over athletes from Kazakhstan and France to claim a bronze medal in the 48 kg division. Meanwhile, in the 70 kg weight class, Jump Academy’s B.Khongorzul was placed fifth, alongside Ralph Gracie Mongolia’s U.Otgonjargal, who finished fifth in the 63 kg category.
Among the men, B.Altan-Erdene from Garuda BJJ & MMA Academy competed in the 16-and-under no-gi division at 56 kg. He achieved a series of victories in the group stage, defeating opponents from Poland and Israel. However, he lost to a Saudi Arabian competitor in the semifinal bout. B.Altan-Erdene rebounded to defeat a Montenegrin athlete, securing a well-deserved bronze medal. Adding to the medal tally, Ralph Gracie Mongolia’s E.Bat-Orgil delivered an impressive performance in the 77 kg category. He overcame athletes from Greece, the United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan to stand proudly on the podium with a bronze medal.
These outstanding achievements highlight the talent and dedication of Mongolia’s athletes in this type of sport, marking another momentous chapter in their international sports journey.
