National Amusement Park closes for winter

As temperatures continue to drop and the winter season approaches, the National Amusement Park has announced a temporary closure, effective from last week. This beloved family destination in Ulaanbaatar City, known for its variety of entertainment options, will pause operations until spring to ensure visitor safety and prepare for seasonal maintenance.

The park features over 20 attractions, with favorites like the “Roller Coaster”, UFO, “Robot”,  and “Dinosaur” rides. These main attractions were closed earlier, on October 14, as part of a phased wind-down for the colder months.

In anticipation of the winter closure, the park had offered a promotional pass earlier this month, allowing visitors to enjoy unlimited access to all rides for a full day at a discounted rate of 20,000 MNT. This promotion, which proved popular among families, resulted in a noticeable increase in attendance, as many sought to make the most of the park’s attractions before the seasonal break.

The National Amusement Park has long been a central recreational hub for Ulaanbaatar residents and tourists alike. As one of the few spaces in the capital city offering outdoor entertainment, its seasonal operations reflect a careful balance between maintaining public safety and providing quality recreational options. The park’s management team assures the public that this pause will allow for thorough maintenance, ensuring a safe and refreshed experience for visitors when doors reopen in the spring.
