Entrance exams scheduled for December

Starting in 2022, by the decree of the Minister of Education, entrance exams for universities and colleges are now held twice a year. Accordingly, the Education Evaluation Center announced the schedule for the second round of entrance exams for this academic year. The winter entrance exams are scheduled to take place from December 5 to 8. The first exam, the Mongolian language and traditional script test, will begin at 10:00 a.m. on December 5.

Moreover, the online registration for participants began on October 10 and will continue for a month. Seat assignments for the exam participants are planned to be released after November 25. The center has advised participants to arrive at the exam venue one hour before the start time and to take their seats at least 10 minutes prior to the exam.

University and college applicants are required to take the Mongolian language and Mongolian traditional script exam, which is mandatory for all graduating students. However, the Ministry of Education has announced that they are drafting a proposal to be discussed in a government meeting, which would allow students to take this exam starting from the 10th grade.

For reference, in last year’s winter entrance exams, a total of 5,645 graduates participated, while in the winter of 2022, 5,326 individuals took the exams. Of these participants, the majority—more than 70 percent—took the exam in Ulaanbaatar City, while the rest took in rural areas.
