Children born and living in the U.S. to learn Mongolian

For Mongolian children born and raised in the United States, the “Mongolian Language and Culture Camp” program, which is organized every summer will be held from June 23 to July 5 this year. The program is spreading the Mongolian language and culture through art forms such as dance and music. The training was initiated by Dr. M.Saruul-Erdene, a Mongolian BOOK specialist at the U.S. Library of Congress, and Ts.Narantsetseg, a Mongolian language and culture teacher at the University of Pennsylvania. This year, professional teachers of fiddler, dance, and saxophone music from Mongolia were also invited to teach lessons.

The “Mongolian Language and Culture Camp” program will be held in two stages at the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center in Bloomington, Indiana. In the first round, eight- to 12-year-olds will be participating from June 23-28, and 13- to 16-year-olds will be taking part from June 30 to July 5. The children who want to participate in the program can be officially registered at the address heritagemongolian@gmail.com and through the link on the website of the “Heritage Mongolia” organization.
