Three athletes of the Mongolian national freestyle wrestling team headed to Istanbul, Turkey to take part in the 2nd Olympic Games World Qualifying Tournament, which starts today. International Sports Master D.Khuderbulga will compete in the men’s 97 kg category, while International Sports Master E.Narangerel will take part in the women’s 48 kg event. State Honored Athlete O.Burmaa will compete in the women’s 75 kg at the tournament. Top two wrestlers in each weight category will be qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympics. The first Olympic Games World Qualifying Tournament for Rio 2016, which gave 48 Olympic qualification, took place from April 22 to 24 in Ulaanbaatar. Three Mongolian athletes - O.Burmaa, D.Khuserbulga, and Ts.Namuuntsetseg competed in the first tournament but haven’t won Olympic qualification.
