Mongolian Government announced 2023-2024 as the “Visit to Mongolia” year. As part of the initiative, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the Mongolian Council of Tourism Professional Associations are organizing the “Tourism Week” event from February 26 to March 3. People in the tourism sector planned to hold a general conference of the tourism industry, investor conferences, business days, meetings and training for management and managers of tour operator companies and startups.

During the event, the aforementioned organizations announced a photo contest on the theme of “Winter Travel” among travelers and enthusiasts. The contest, which aimed to support and publicize eco-friendly and appropriate tourism, were accepted until February 25. Also, the organizers uploaded those photos on the website, and the best ones will be selected based on their access points on March 1. The winner of the best picture will be rewarded with 1.2 million MNT, the second and third place will be awarded with 800,000 MNT and 500,000 MNT, and the fourth to 10th places will be awarded with 50,000 MNT each. The contestants participated in the competition with photos taken by amateur cameras and mobile phones.

As the “Tourism Week” event will be opened with the general tourism conference at the Government Palace, the Mongolian Council of Tourism Professional Associations has called on the enterprises and organizations to participate in the event.
