Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of South Korea to Mongolia Kim Jong-gu presented the amendments to the procedure on November 29 for issuing short-term single-entry C-3 category and multiple-entry visas and increased its cooperation scope.

According to the change in the regulations, citizens who have graduated from college in South Korea or who have obtained Master’s degrees or higher in other countries can apply for a multiple-entry visa. Previously, a citizen with a bachelor’s degree in South Korea or a master’s degree in other countries could apply for a multiple-entry visa.

In addition, multiple-entry visas will be issued to citizens whose husbands, wives, or directly related family members reside in South Korea for a long period or more than one year, or who have travel visas to or have traveled to countries that are members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Also, the short-term travel category C-3 single-entry visa had a period of stay of 90 days and a validity period of one year. But with this change, the period of stay remains the same and the validity period is extended to three years. The changes in visa regulations have been officially implemented since November 20.
