Ulaanbaatar Mayor D.Sumiyabazar received the World Bank’s Country Manager for Mongolia Andrei Mikhnev, upon the completion of the latter’s term in Mongolia.
During the meeting, Andrei Mikhnev was awarded Khangardi Order in recognition of his valuable contribution to the development, construction, and infrastructure of Ulaanbaatar and his practical support in the implementation of the city’s sustainable road and transport project. He successfully managed and organized many projects to improve the living and working environment of the citizens of Ulaanbaatar city.
Andrei Mikhnev, who had been working as World Bank’s Country Manager for Mongolia since April 1, 2019, played a significant role in the implementation of the “Ulaanbaatar Clean Air Project” and “Ulaanbaatar Sustainable Road and Transport Project” in the framework of tackling the issues facing Ulaanbaatar, and made a valuable contribution to having the funding sources approved.
Since becoming a member of the World Bank Group in 1991, Mongolia implemented numerous projects in the field of infrastructure and completed many constructions with the assistance provided by the bank.
