During the meeting of Ulaanbaatar city officials on February 22, city officials reported on the implementation of the instructions given by Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar.
Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division of the Capital City Mayor’s Office Kh.Gantulga reported on the drafting process of the bill on legal status of the capital city and the selection of contractors for projects and activities to be implemented in 2021 with state and local funding.
“This year, 437 projects and activities worth 103 billion MNT will be implemented through the capital city’s budget. Of these, new 106 projects and activities worth 44 billion MNT are starting. The other 334 projects are ongoing throughout the years,” he said.
“In order to ensure food production, distribution and supply in Ulaanbaatar, traders and service providers were PCR tested in cooperation with the Capital City Health Department and districts’ mayor’s offices on February 14, 15 and 16. A total of 33,386 people were tested at 18 sites for this purpose.”
During the meeting, Mayor D.Sumiyabazar noted that the capital city and district administrations will work together and overcome the COVID-19 pandemic in a unified manner, and said, “Officials should not revoke companies’ licenses when inspecting their operations. During the pandemic, support businesses as much as possible and provide methodological advice.”
The mayor reminded to pay attention to improving communication, attitude and ethics of the capital city administration staff.
