The list of voters for the local election has been published on the General Authority for State Registration (GASR)’s website. In accordance with Resolution No. 23 of April 16, 2020, the upcoming election of councils of capital city, provinces, soums and districts will take place on October 15.

Article 20.4 of the Law on Elections of the Councils of Capital City, Province, Soum and District states that the GASR will publish the voter list on its website at least 90 days prior to the polling day. In accordance with the law, the state administrative body in charge of state registration will ensure the registration of the name, age, gender, registration number and address of eligible voters, and publish them on its website until the end of the local election.

Voters should check whether they are registered on the voter list at least 14 days before the polling day.

Article 24.1 of the same law stipulates, “Migration from one administrative unit to another unit shall be stopped 60 days before the polling day and resume the day after the polling day.”

It means that domestic migration will be stopped on August 16, 2020, and resume on October 16.
