Mongolian national team shooter International Sports Master G.Nandinzaya has captured a bronze medal in the women’s 50m 3 position rifle contest at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun, which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from April 14 to 25.
This was the first medal for Mongolia from a rifle competition at the ISSF World Cup. G.Nandinzaya is now qualified for participation in the 2016 Olympic Games in the category in which she claimed her third place win.
G.Nandinzaya made it to the final round of competition with 589 points and grabbed the bronze medal after collecting 443.3 points. The gold medal went to Croatia’s Snjezana Pejcic, and silver went to Barbara Engleder from Germany.
