Around 30 Mongolian chess players took part in the World Youth Mind Sports Fair, held within the scope of the Pyeong Chang 2018 Winter Olympic Games, from January 19 to 21.
The Mongolian team, led by G.Davaakhuu, competed in classic and open chess categories in the ages of seven to 23, and won 16 medals in total (seven gold, six silver and three bronze medals), which made them the overall winners of the competition where over 320 players from Mongolia, Russia, China, South Korea and India took part in.
Some 400 players competed fiercely in the open chess tournament on the last day of the competition.
